The Vulcan is a 2008 29′ FS Center Console Regulator, equipped with two 250 HP Yamaha 4 stroke engines. It has the latest in communication, navigation and safety equipment.
The captain , Rick Trussell, has over 40 years of boating and fishing experience. Originally from Maryland, and having fished inshore on the Susquehanna River, and the Chesapeake Bay, and offshore out of Ocean City, having to go 58 to 72 miles to reach the Baltimore, and Washington Canyons in pursuit of Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo, White, and Blue Marlin.
He came to Daytona Beach in late 1994, and has operated a part-time offshore chartering business for the past 14 years. the boat was in Los Suenos Marina, Herradura, Costa Rica for 2 1/2 years and came back in April of 2016.. With the present location, customers can enjoy good food and drinks at the Hidden Treasures restaurant. Located within walking distance of the Ponce Inlet Light house, the tallest light house in Florida , and the Marine Science Center. There is an eatery where you can get a breakfast sandwich and coffee practically right in front of the boat. Although we can take a group of 6, we recommend 4 or less.
Half Day Trips:
7am to 11:00 am
8:00am to 12:00pm
1:00 pm -5:00 pm ( not recommended in summer due to afternoon T-storms)
Normal Day trip (9 to 15 miles off shore )
$450 extend to 6 hours $650
8 hr trip is $850 add $100 for each additional hour tip rate 15%
We require a $200 deposit for all charters. This deposit can be made using all major credit cards, or with a travelers check, or money order. The deposit will be non-refundable, unless the trip is cancelled by the captain due to weather, or cancellation within 48 hours notice. we will accept cash, and tips for the trip will be expected at 15%.
all trips include fishing license, bait, and tackle. your fish can be cleaned for you to take home, or prepared for your enjoyment at the Hidden Treasure Restaurant.
